My Ride: 2010 Lexus HS 250h...looking to get a 2011 535xi
I've read the several threads extolling the virtues of the Heads Up Display and as a result, I've decided to add that to my options list.
My searches didn't come across a similar discussion on the merits of the Park Distance Control.
So, is it worth it? Other than avoiding backing over small children on tricycles when pulling out of the garage, how useful is it? I assume it helps when parallel parking...

Do not miss it otherwise you cud miss something more.... It saved me several times from a lot of trouble... Though I must admit the PDC on the 3-series was more precise and reliable...

Generally, LOL...
I wonder if there is an option that isn't worth having...
So far the only thing I wont be getting is the Sport package and the gazillion-way adjustable comfort seats....

#1 - sport
#2 - Logic 7
#3 - comfort seats
then the rest...
PDC was something I never would have gotten but it is standard on the 545 in the US. It is definitely nice to have but I wouldn't consider it essential

My Ride: 535d Sport (M sport steering, M sport sills, M sport suspension, 18inch M style wheels) Carbon black, black nasca, dark wood, dechromed, folding mirrors, extended lights, sun protect glazing, grad tinted winscreen, servotronic steering, heated, ventilated active comfort seats, extended voice control, hi-fi speakers, hud, active cruise, split folding rear seats, rear electric blind, rear manual blinds visbility pack (xenons, adaptive headlights), media pack (6 CD, prof nav, bluetooth with telematics and assist)
No question about its usefullness - especially as it now does the front as well as the back - lifesaver (especially with the other half driving) in my E39
