for U.S. bimminaites, how do I pan on the Nav map...let say I want to see the streets surrounding street A, I know I can zoom, but how do I pan around. I've seen it done at the dealership??

One way to select a new destination is with the map option. You move around the map with the iDrive knob.

In Nav, start with selecting a new location. Bump up to the top menu line. Look at the options. The map is there. Select is and scan away.
