Do you live in columbus? I was told snow is mild other than a couple a year. I dont think that would warrant a winter setup IMO but I guess I will see. Guess I will be taking the bus on those days.

My Ride: 2005 545, nav, sport, PP, cold weather
my experience is bad squared. put them on a 330cic with sport. only put them on the back and go a spongy turning feeling. added them to the front it got worst. put the pilots on my auti tt in place of preformance tire and there wasno difference. traction was about equal for both tire [even accounting for the tt quattro].

Basicallly it is between the F1 a/s, michelin pilot a/s which I have, nero ms, bridgestone a/s or dunlop which I doubt is any good considering they cannot even make a summer tire.

i also have the michelin pilot sports A/S and i have nothing but praise for them. They aren't a winter tire though. They're good in the cold but not too cold. Keep in mind, as evidenced below, my winter setup is the Dunlop M3's and they are simply fantastic in the winter - wet, dry, snow, ice, whatever you throw at them, they are fantastic. Some people keep the M3's on all year round. The first day we have below freezing temps is the day I switch. I highly recommend both of these tires. For your situation, I think the Dunlop M3's would be perfect. Since I swap these out each season, I cant comment on tire wear as my situation is different.
