Well, this issue with extra features never ends. However, I was lucky to have a hands-on possibility to compare a standard E60 and my own car during the delivery process of my car last years. I had for one week and 1300 km a standard 523i touring since my own car was late. I was a fine car, much better than my previous car VW Golf. But immediately once I got my own machine, I noticed that to difference between two E60s can be really significant. M-Sport wheel, sport seats and HUD gives you so much more that it's nearly impossible to talk about standard car and well-equipped version as a same model. M-Sport aerokit is fine, but the most notable thing in M-Sport packet is the steering wheel. It gives you better control to your car and is joy to steer. Sport seats are also fine, but if you can't take both, I'd suggest the wheel.

One interesting feature is the audio with leather seats. The sound is more crisp and significantly better with leather seats compared to standard fabric. Even I could hear the difference even though I'm far from audiofreek. Hi-fi system is fine, but I have managed with my standard stereos fine. I tried 335i with Hi-fi, which sounded also fine.

What are the specs on the facelifted 525d? bhp? 0 to 100 timing?
I am confused if i should get a 525i or a 525d?
3L diesel engine with 197hp.. If I remember correctly 0 to 100 was 7.6 seconds.

Thumbs down

Bit the bullet today and made a last minute order to my car: M-sport package. I was wondering how much it would cost to get M-aerokit and rims+wheels afterwards, and came to a conclusion that it's cheaper to just get the package. Not to mention that I get extras like sport seats with the package, and don't have the pain to seek new aerodynamic kit for the LCI somewhere + paint + install it.. I have dropped rear folding seats from the order, else is intact (sensatec, wheel and suspension have changed due to M-sport). Car will go to production soon, in week 10.

Dont get sports suspension. It may look better but it makes the ride terrible. I love how a SPORT model looks, but I couldnt live with one, and I like hard suspension on a car!
