Optimal rim size for E60?

I just went on the Alpina website on their parts section and they quote different sizes for the rear wheels compared to what you wrote above.
B5 S wheel sizes:
8,5 x 20? 245 / 30 ZR 20 front
9,5 x 20? 265 / 30 ZR 20 rear

Unforetunately they do not mention anything about the offsets.
For the look I would go for the 20s, because the Alpina Classic rims look smaller than they are. Basically its the same optical illusion as with all wheels that have a lip.
If you are going to get the E60 B5 S wheels, then you can just go with the sizes they use and put them straight on your car, rather than having to work with spacers like I did with my E38 7er "B12" wheels, which are half an inch wider at the front and the rear. (You need the spacers to clear the struts.)
