Just under 400 lbs and 200 hp, I think I might have to go and get me one...

S1K, it's been around for a while now. My best friend races one in AFM out west. Yes, it's a monster. Surprisingly it never dominated in WSBK like BMW wanted.

It's not too bad. The riding position when you sit on it is very similar to a late R6. Definitely not as comfortable as say, a CBR1000RR.

Fun bike to ride, but not very comfortable for any sort of distance without risers and a new seat. I have a K1200R Sport that I absolutely love. It's been the best bike I've ever owned.

S1K was really BMW wanting to take on the Japanese and Ducati in WSBK. It's obviously a very different bike from the K1200R and built for a very focused purpose. The K1200R is a VERY, VERY nice motorcycle, but definitely not something I'd want to enter in WSBK racing.

If I recall correctly the RR would have won wsbk in its second year racing if Melandri didn't choke. BMW was in position to take it in only it's second year racing after being away for so long. I'd say it lived up to the hype.

The K bike still is a great all around bike. Great in the twistys and still somewhat comfy. Rare to see these days.

Yep, I was pretty gutted just watching that. IIRC he threw the title up in the air in race 1, and then firmly slammed it in the trash in race 2.

Lol pretty much.

Too bad they backed out of racing, so much potential.
