Which One 07 550i or 08 535i

I bought an 07 550i recently, but the decision was easier for me because it cost much less than an 08. I paid about $37k before tax.

What a great forum!

I have narrowed it down and will be going with the 08 535i.

I am located in WA State.. If anyone comes across a nice vehicle let me know. We are willing to buy out of state.

My Ride: 2007 550i, Titanium Silver/Black, 6-Sp Steptronic, Sport Package, HD Radio, Sirius, Premium Sound, GPS Nav, Cold Pkg, cell phone cradle, iPod through the AUX port 1976 Datsun 280Z, Charcoal/Black, 5-Sp Manual, A/C, American Mags, CD, Tom Tom 930 GPS (works better than the BMW!) and the rest is pretty much stock

No kidding...How did you get an '07 so cheap? I hve one similar to yours and would think the mid to lo 40's would be cheap. Might change my mind about getting a new one if that's all it's going to bring.

Good choice either way. There are several advantages to the '08s beyond some minor styling. I prefer the '08 interior styling, the updated iDrive buttons, A/C shortcuts, etc add convenience, and the iPod option is more integrated. The '08 550i sport package also has the integrated Mtech kit, style 172 wheels, updated suspension, more agressive exhaust tone, etc.

Performace wise, the 550i has more out of the box but the 535i can be upgraded to match.

PS: You don't mention the HUD. it doesn't sound useful but really is, especially for the nav instructions display without having to listen to the voice instructions.
