I just did the VC gasket change. Everything went smooth except the force and patient to remove the VC with old gasket after all bolts were removed. It was so hard to pull it off the engine. I had to pry the corner (next to the PCV hose) a little bit at a time to get the VC off. That took about 10 minutes of slowly, carefully prying.
After installed a new gasket (kit from dealer), and tightened all bolts (15) according to Bently manual 10 Nm. After I started the car, I saw oil leak from the Low side of the VC, along the 4 bolts (from firewall to the EGR valve). I tightened them a bit more without the torque wrench. I will try to start the car again. Hopefully, no more oil along the lower side edge of the VC
Thanks,

Kyle,
I cleaned up oil along the low side edge of VC and then tightened all the bolts a bit more (slowly) and ran car (idling) for about 15 minutes. No oil came out along the low side edge of VC. So, VC replacement is completed.
Thank for your help advise.

This morning, I drove my 530i to work and then checked out any oil in low edge of engine. I saw a little bit of oil around those 5 "bolts" along lower edge of engine. I had already tightened these bolts slowly without a torque wrench. How much more can I tighten them to stop the small oil coming out through the new valve cover gasket ?
Thanks.
