Oil level at minimum on idrive. WTF?

Yes, I used 7 quarts when I did it. I'll keep an eye on the fuel level sensor . Is there a way to test that on INPA?

Probably ... but someone more experienced with that will have to reply. Seems more likely you're not "burning" oil but the oil level is mis-reported.

These motors do burn oil naturally more then one would expect.

I have a 2004 545 with 109k on it and I add zero oil between oil changes..I just replaced my Oil Level Sensor as it went out 5k miles ago. Its a 220 dollar part but gives you the piece of mind that your oil is being reported correctly. When mine went bad it would send false indications that the car was overheating..
