brake fluid?
thats what i thought it might be, don't suppose this would be an easy fix either

my windscreen washer has also packed in, the motor makes a noise but there's no liquid coming through despite being full !

then there's the dreaded steering wheel squeek at slow speeds the sound like the steering wheel is rubbing on the column, i believe this is something to do with P.A.S and that it has to be blead at a cost of ?1,200 at the dealers.

then there's the headlight washers, when they pop up i have to chase the drivers side flap/cover down the street to retrieve it because for some reason its only clipped in and there's no spring holding it.

anybody know a good, reliable, honest , bmw technician thats cheap
and they say bmw's are reliable

Hi bud sorry about your problems, the washer is easy, get a drawing pin and clear the jets on the bonnet as these will be blocked!!! next time you move the car, taste the fluid or at least take a real good look at what is left on the floor, it is possible that its water running down the channels under the car from you washers, i would guess they are one and the same problem!!

I don't want to worry you , but if it is oil (engine) could be from anywhere as the bottom tray can be misleading.
On mine, the first time was from turbo charger ?2000+ second time is from engine sump gasket ? ????? all covered under warranty.
My recommendation is to have the tray off to see what is happening.
Good luck
