just got installed version 16.2 and now my board computer shows that i have 10k miles until next oil change while the service screen on the i-drive shows that i have 15k miles until the next oil change. there is 5k difference between the two!

i have changed oil in my car few days ago and right after that i have installed the new 16.2 version. maybe i should reset the oil change interval and see if that will sync both indicators?

how do you reset the oil change indicator? is reset going to screw up anything?

There were a few members here claiming to know how to reset the oil but it turned into a big discussion about why one would want to reset when oil changes are free and they never revealed the secret oil reset handshake. Heading back to the dealer will probably be the only way.

my car has spent 5 days at the dealer in the past 2 weeks. i maybe have put 200 miles after the oil change. i really don't want (or have time) to go there again. i just want to reset the oil change indicator to see if this will sync both the BC and I-drive. if that does not work, then i can go to the dealer.

can someone just PM me? i really have no intentions at all to reset my oil indicator except to try to fix my current problem.

thanks
