So I purchased my 2008 528i on 15 Sept with 50,300 mi on the odometer. It only came with one key so I order a new one from the dealership on Tuesday and picked it up today (Thursday). I put the new key together and checked it in the parking lot just to make sure it worked and it started right up. So I take off and not even 5 minutes into the drive I see my cluster had reset on mileage till empty, it dislpayed ------. So I look around to see whatelse may have been out of wack and then I notice the worse thing ever, my odometer was at 82,1**!!!!! This morning when I pulled up to work I had just hit 51,005 and now with this new key I'm at 82,145 or so. Has this happened to anyone?

LOL. That looks like some mileage cover up or something. Did the carfax and everything match? Very suspicious!

51,000 mi to 82,000 km

Check your vehicle settings. Each key has its set of vehicle settings.
