Default o2 sensor replacement

While I was at the dealer for rough running issue and they recommended replaceing 3 injectors for $1200, they also said BMW recommends replacing all 4 O2 sensors at 100K miles (car now has 110K) on it. They wanted a reasonable $2400 to replace all 4. Is there a write up on how to do it? Searching and can not find one.

Its very easy. save yourself 2 grand do it yourself. Just get your car up on jack -stands or a lift/ car ramps whatever you may have remove and replace.. Done! They should all be in proximity to each other one before and after on both banks.

I did not replace them yet buy as I looked at them it seams that rooting the cables up to the harness looks a little bit time consuming to me but doable for sure and a detailed wright up would be good help

Looks like they are not cheep $195 for each from ESC tuning so you are looking $800 for parts but still good if you DIY than $2500. Is replacing for of them really necessary?

No fault codes. The dealer just said BMW recommended maint. I usually try to stick to the rec maint schedule. But $2400?

I recommend replacing the pre-cat ox-sensors as they are the ones doing work and the post o2 sensors only measure the cats efficiency. so save yourself some dough and do the front two first, especially if your not even throwing codes... I bet your fuel economy improves.

I would second that, I have been getting fault codes for the bank 1 pre-CAT O2 sensor for some time now off and on (increased emissions!) and finally ordered one and will be doing this in a few days, will take some pics.
Doing all 4 when no codes are thrown is overkill IMHO.........unless you want to throw $$ away and in that case send me some instead.....LOL
