LOL, I thought CPO was the way to go when I bought my car, now I see it's even better to get a car w/o CPO (better pricing) and then get a 3rd party warranty that would actually cover things that actually break - EPIC FAIL BMW!!!!

Ouch bro! Sorry about the bad news.
Time to look for a used one. There were a few people who upgraded their CCC with the new CIC here on the forum not too long ago. Hit'em up. Better than paying ~$1200 for a new one. Like I told you the other day, don't go to the dealer for clearing fault codes, my guy in Pasadena will do it for almost no money. Stealers are only good for in-warranty repairs and maitenance. FAIL! FAIL! FAIL!

LOL, yeah, clearing the faults was $160, but that wasn't the issue I have. My problem is that BMW won't cover the $1800 (parts/labor) for a faulty CCC under the CPO warranty. What is the point of having CPO if they will not cover a component as major as the system that controls the entire car? Makes no sense, but they cover my engine (big f****** deal, BMW I6's rarely go wrong).

exercise EXTREME CAUTION with those jerks...they screwed me over on some Style 37s back in 2007. I will never buy anything from them again.

Thanks Gene, but someone suggested using the fact that I cannot use the climate control when the problem happens, so my best bet may be to argue with BMWNA. It has been extremely hot here the last week, I do carry my kids in the car, so if the AC doesn't work they can be looking at some nice litigation if anything happens to my kids due to heat/cold
