My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
Ok, so earlier today I posted that my iDrive screen went black and kept coming back on every 20-30 secs with just the initial "BMW" screen (see thread here Black Screen). It was suggested that I buy a new battery. I did that (thanks Randy) and the same thing is happening, it stays on maybe another second or 2 but then it goes black again. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Bro, yeah it's a CPO and I have maint warranty, just want to make sure it's something that is either covered or maybe I can handle if it's not?

Others have gotten the CCC covered under warranty (thanks Gene), anyone have the # for BMWNA? It would be worth a shot to see if it would be covered, if absolutely not, then maybe an LCI NAV would be in order?
warranty or CPO? big difference. Retrofitting the LCI nav isn't straightforward either, to spend that cash just go CIC. Otherwise, you could scour eBay for a CCC from a date close to your build date and have that reprogrammed, that would be the cheapest non-warranty option.

. I remember you told me before your car was CPO so just take it in to the dealer. I suspect a software glitch somewhere?
