Sales of the E60 climbed 18% in November over the same month last year, which is a nice bounce for a model nearing the end of its life-cycle. However, it got spanked by the MB E-Class with a jump of 79% over last year to 4,052 units sold (compared to 3,462 5 series). Hyundai Genesis sales climbed 52%, and the Jaguar XF was up 25%.

What's Hot
Audi A5 +89%
MB E-Class +79%
Acura MDX + 65%
BMW X5 +41%
Lexus RX +35%

What's Not
Smart ForTwo -66%
Infiniti M -65%
BMW X3 -64%
MB CLS -54%
Audi Q7 -45%
Honda Fit -27%

That's a nice year-on-year jump for the E60!

It all makes sense. Those numbers compare November of this year to November of last year. We were just starting the recession then. The big cars took a dive and the Mini and Smart were selling like hot cakes. This year things have settled a bit and the big cars are coming back and the little cars aren't in quite the demand they were.
