Lol

But for real, they can only *legally be used when parked. Same thing with hazard lights, they aren't legally permitted while driving.

Is this correct? I have seen number of occasions that string of cars would all have their hazards on following a hearse, and similar.

Additionally, since we don't have rear fogs in US, in heavy fog, if you opt to continue driving, it's advisable to turn the hazards on to enable other people to better see you.

^ Earlier this month I was at a funeral and we had a police escort, we all had our hazards on and the cops didnt say anything to us. Could have been that it was a funeral and the cops didn't think it was the right time. Or as said earlier just depends on the cop, who knows.

Confirmed correct. We all see drivers do many things, but we choose whether to pull them over or not.

With a mod like that you are looking for trouble. Same goes for having tint in states where they don't allow it, etc. Don't do those mods that will make you stand out because it is something illegal and related to safety.

BS, in PA if your speed in less than 40 mph on the interstate your supposed to warn other drivers by using your hazard lights.

It sounds to me like the cop knew you were speeding, but by the time you slowed down (and him possibly not having the radar gun properly calibrated) made your speed appear to be legal, so he just stopped you and ticketed you for whatever he could find wrong with your car.

I'm sorry, but some cops can be douchebags, while others are really cool. I once had a South Pasadena cop pull me over because I "chirped" my tires while trying to accelerate to move over to my right, so I could make a right at the next street after the light. I did go about 5mph over the speed limit, but the cop had no radar on so he pulled me over and looked at my car from top to bottom. I had an RX7 with sleepy eyes at the time, and so he pulled out some measuring tape and measured my lights (luckily I measured them so they were legal) and he came back and told me I was lucky that they were legal.

Long story short...he gave me a reckless driving ticket. I went to court to fight it, the guy at the window (not even the judge) saw that I was doing 30 in a 25 zone, then saw it was in South Pasadena, then ripped up the ticket and said I could go home and not worry about coming back..
