My 05 545i had that on the power steering reservoir just yesterday when i was looking under my hood, but not as musch as your does it did not really concern me at all, so i just cleaned it up really good now if i get that stuff again than i might need a new p.steering resevoir.( I did not have any stains on the engine though, but my guess is that it was most likely the dealer accidently tipped some oil over and tried to clean it after!

If you store your car over the Winter instead of driving it, that explains the mouse poop and piss.

Nope, don't really store it, but I do travel a lot and the car does stay parked for 1 week at a time.

That said, I suspect it was from my old house. But we moved over the summer... I'm surprised I never saw that mouse poop before!? Our old house was visited my mice frequently, but we haven't seen anything ever in our new place. I also have one of those ultra-frequency mice irritant units plugged in my new garage which is supposed to chase the critters away.

The poop is small enough that I may have missed it since last summer, but the piss stain is suspicious...

And, why wouldn't the dealer have cleaned this stuff when I did my oil change in December? Or, at the very least, they should have notified me...
