Hi,

I recently notice a very irritating noise from inside my steering when going over rough roads. Its like something is loose and it keeps shaking inside whenever i go thru rough roads. Anyone experience the same issue? Can i diy or is it better to bring to the dealer for rectification since it involes the inside of steering wheel and possibily the airbag. Thanksa lot for any reply.

I had the same thing when I turned into my driveway. The first time the dealer could not duplicate the noise. After I got the car back I paid more attention and it was coming from the steering system. Most noticable when car was stopped, engine running and you turn the wheel back and forth rapidly you couls hear the noise. The dealer then agreed and changed a bearing somewhere in the steering system. Cost was like $450.00 but under warranty.
