My Ride: 2007 Titanium Gray 550i, with sport, nav, HUD, Logic7, sat radio, cold weather, rear side airbags, rear seat heaters, and it goes like a bat outta hell!

Hey PC......

I have never noticed the popping sound while driving, but it is very loud and noticeable when I shut off the engine. I've even had comments about it....I've always assumed it was the exhaust/catalytic converter as mentioned above. I don't worry about it since I don't hear it when I'm driving.....but it doesn't seem like you should be hearing it once the engine has been warmed up and driven for a bit........

I usually hear any and every little noise and I don't hear anything on my 550, other than a little normal metal cooling on my car. Other than that it's quiet inside and out... so far.. If it's so loud people are commenting about it, I'd have it checked out.
