I tried to start my 2004 530i in the morning to go to work but nothing happened. No crank, all dash light were fine (not dim).
What could be the issue, battery or starter or something else ?

Sounds like a starter issue from your description.

 

Could also be the ground strap.

It could be a lot of things.

1. If you hear a click clinking, it's most likely a bad starter.
2. What codes did you read?
3. What battery tests did you perform?
   1. Battery charge status?
   2. Load test?
   3. Charge status histogram?
4. Did you try disconnecting the IBS?
5. Does it eventually start after the morning?
