My Ride: 08 535i Black
Thumbs up

So this AM im in traffic and take off at a quicker than normal take off from a stand still. NOT gunning it or anything. Just a quicker acceleration than normal..DTS on. No wheel slippage that i could hear (radio was low), and i see the triangle with the exclamation mark in the middle come on for a sec, then turned off.

I dont have my manual on hand, so if anyone has seen this before can you please shed some light. Shes an 08 535i . Thanks.

That symbol flashes to indicate that the traction control system is preventing your wheels from spinning... If the traction control had been disabled, you certainly would have heard the wheels telling you about it...

Have fun!

Noting that the electronics may have caught a bit of wheel spin that wasn't detectable by ear.

That can happen if your rush forward caused a s_it - eating grin and temporarily caused you to go deaf

You might also notice a dip in power if that stays on for a bit longer, even with your pedal down the revs drop off a little until you have traction. There's an online manual here somewhere...
