My Ride: BMW 550i aromatic transmission all the bells and whistles
No Crank no start
Recently changed swapped out transmissions automatic on my 2007 BMW 550i. When I went to start it after the swap I got no crank no start I’ll it’s showing on for codes is that all of the electrical systems that go with disconnecting swapping out the tranny weren’t operating I think that’s just because they’ve been off and I haven’t started it yet so there’s no codes but during the swap I also changed the battery and I don’t know how to register it without going to the dealer and I’m not going to the dealer already spent all my money just replacing this damn tranny so I need to know oh by the way there’s two different transmissions I guess automatic transmissions for this this car and I don’t have the one that are the exact one that came out of the car it’s the other one and I’m hearing through YouTube that the two may not communicatePossible for the transmission to keep the car from cranking even no noise at all except I can hear the fuel pump so help I bought this car and the next day had to do the swap so I don’t know anything else about the car other than the motor ran great please help thank you

Do you have a pic of the codes it's throwing. What did you actually change out (just the transmission). What about the valve body, was it changed out or you kept original. Possible reasons:
1. Valve body not paired
2. Connector not all the way in
3. Ground got disconnected
I wouldn't worry about the battery at this time. The car will crank with a new battery not registered. Do you have BMW tools and or ISTA. If not you are definitely going to need it.

More than likely you have the 6HP28 and you need another 6HP28 and you must use your original Mechatronics to start the car. The 6HP28 transmission mechatronics has integrated EWS and must match the ESN in the CAS and the DME.
The 6HP24/26 will not work, there are many internal differences. What is your build date?
