You can change both in minutes but they trip for a reason because your bake pads are getting low

I hope you will fit new front pad

The sensor is simply a copper wire or metal that is broken when the pad is low

Don't play with safety
Put on new pads and sensors and drive safely
So, I thought I reset the front brake sensor warning but I could not get that thing to reset. Maybe the sensors are bad? I drove to work this morning and noticed the warning again. I ordered 2 sensors from Amazon.

My brake pads are fine, they have plenty of life left, but thanks.

If you want to check if it's the sensors there is a simple test

The sensor is simply a closed circuit which when is broken shows the warning

Where the sensor plug is plugged into the black box in the wheel well
You simply remove the sensor and then use a wire pushed into either hole to once again close the circuit

This will then trick the computer into imagining that all the brakes are okay

I wouldn't do this.

The body side of the connector has female contacts. If you force something in that's larger than the pin on the sensor cable, the contacts can be deformed and won't make the connection properly with the replacement cable.

If all pads are thick as the OP has said, and the front sensor is indicating a problem, it's possible the sensor wire is damaged. I would just replace the sensor. No need to take the brakes apart either - just remove the wheel and the sensor pulls straight out of the pad. Make sure all the sensor cable mounting points are properly fitted when installing the new cable.

Thanks! I was about to do that but I won't now. Yes, the pads are still thick:

I'll just order two new sensors for the front wheels. I don't know which one has gone bad but I guess I'll see when the wheels come off.

Thanks, I guess I'll have a spare sensor for the front if it goes out again.
