I picked up my car last week and there is no audio from AM/FM/CD/PDC or anything else except... I pressed the BMW Assist button and could hear and speak with the call taker. Other than that, there are no chimes or warning tones or music from any source. The radio and CD controls are working and the CD spins and tracks but no audio is coming out...

Baffled.

i had a similar problem but my audio system wasnt working on the left hand side, ie all left handside speakers were dead. it turnred out that the wiring was loose at the rear of the CCC (the headunit) try removing it fisrt and checking that out.

I found the cover missing in my glovebox and the MOST cable was disconnected. I plugged it back in and VOILA! Full L7 audio!

If all cables are fine, the other problem may be a faulty amplifier, had that problem with my e46 at once time. not MOST, but ibus, so I'm not sure if the same logic applies.
