Found the way to activate the home lights.
Shut down the engine
Flash your high beam and watch your low beams come on
they would be on for X amount of secs which you have set in your idrive.
Lock your doors and walk home. the lights would turn off in X secs.

 

These may not be the tires that came with the car. what do the tires read on the sidewall for max pressure? Do about 7 lbs under max pressure all the way around and you should be fine.
