I not sure if this has come up before or not, problably has with all the topics that come across here. Anyhow my questions is how can you tell if your car is either LCI or Pre-LCI. I have a 2004 530i no mods yet, but I'm getting ready for my first one this week. Also included a couple of pics so everyone can see what I'm starting out with. Thanks

2004 is a pre-LCI car. There are a million threads which you can find using the search feature on the difference between pre-LCI and LCI E60s.
Oh and congrats on the 166s. They will look great on your car. My next mod would be the M-Tech kit.
Are you going to use your 123's as a winter set?
Are you going to the August 22nd blockbuster NY area meet?

I definitely plan to attend a meet at some point, but I don't think i'm going to be around for the next one.
I've been looking at the m-tech body kits, but I kind of like the OEM M5 look a little better. i just have to figure out if I can find one that allows you to keep the fog lights. Thanks for the welcome
Maybe Angel Eyes next for me????

Thanks for the info, yes the plan is to use the current ones as my winter set and throw some winter tires on them.

There are also other vendors on the board who are offering lighting upgrades as well. In fact, there are some threads opened in the last day about them. Generally, to me, lighting upgrades are inexpensive but make a big difference in appearance as a lot of OEM lights on the E60 are pretty dim IMHO.
See you at a meet soon.

That said congratulations, you have asked one of the 3 required questions for new members:

3) LCI v Pre-LCI
