I'm about to pick up my e60 on friday - first BMW. It's a company car, so it's only got a few extras on it. Bluetooth isn't one. I need to organise a handsfree kit - what's the best solution? I've read posts that the dealer can upgrade software to activate the bluetooth - is that right? I'm in the UK if that's any difference. Thanks.

If you can get the in car bluetooth setup then do so as its going to be the best option. Everythings integrated and of course all the phone info appears on the screen.

He's from UK, not US, so it's different. Check with bmw.co.uk site to see if BT is standard on 525i. If not, retrofit is needed probably by software.

Retrofit takes takes 6 man hours so costs double the price of it on the option list. E2000.00 in Ireland as opposed to E1050.00
