I think he has the Extended Voice Function which includes voice inputs for CD AUDIO. AIRCON, VEHICLE SETTINGS etc

Extended voice is a great safety aid in my view. Sure you feel a bit geeky using it at first, but just being able to change CD, make phone calls etc without even having to press buttons (except one press on the steering wheel to activate the voice command) is under estimated.
I use an iPhone and don't have any trouble with it at all, whereas my wifes Sony Erricson K700 (I think) crashes regularly when using bluetooth so I need to see if there's a firmware update for that.
Cradle, cradle??? I asked the dealer last week if there was a cradle for the iPhone yet and they said no. Is there one out now? If so, does it do the iPod integration bit and charge the phone as well all at the same time?

Thanks for the welcome. You seem like a knowledgable bunch! This is my fourth BMW, but first E60. We're very excited about our new car, even thought it means our Nissan 350Z GT is going in p/ex. Not too dissimilar in performance, but delivered in a very different way!

Bummer it doesn't do the iPod bit too, don't even use the iPod part of my iPhone as yet as I only got it for conveniently having music on me when in the car....
