My Ride: 2008 Sapphire Black on Black M5 - loaded sans soft close doors

Damage is probably closer to $3,500. Just got mine back from the body shop and the total was $3,850 - I have the rear airbags and I'm guessing that added somewhat to the cost (BMW sells the shop a new door and they have to take everything out and put it all back in). Here is my before picture - of course the dolt that hit me did not leave a note.....

Damn!! Similar thing happened to me about 1.5 years ago as some teenage male made an illegal u-turn infront of me and came and hit me on the passenger side rear, luckily he hit the wheel and damaged the rear-quarter panel, but my damage doesn't look as bad as yours he was coming at me about 15 mph. I got $1,800 insurance for it. How fast was he backing up at you?
