SUBJECT
No Audio Sound in any Mode
MODEL
(New) E60/E61 (5 Series) with Option 609 (CCC) and Option 677 (Logic7)
E63/E64 (6 Series) with Option 677 (Logic7)
(New) E90/E91 (3 Series) with Option 609 (CCC) and Option 677 (Logic7)
SITUATION
No audio sound in any mode (radio/CD, PDC, NAV voice, telephone) on vehicles with CCC (Car Communication Computer) and Logic7 after switching on the vehicle.
Audio can't be activated by pressing the ON/OFF rotary knob.
(New) The CD track symbol display in the CID is blank while listening to a CD.
NOTE: All other functions are working correctly and can be selected via the iDrive.
CAUSE
(New) Logic7 Top HiFi Amplifier failure
CORRECTION
On a customer complaint basis only, replace the Logic7 amplifier.
(New) After replacement, reprogram the complete vehicle with the latest version of Progman.
Refer to SI B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization and Programming) "Procedure A".
