I finally got my phone cradle and BTUM installed and working. The strange thing is that the tech told me that the system reported a problem with the TCU and that he was going to submit a PUMA case. Here is my question, with the BTUM working properly should i have them replace the TCU? Would I have any advantage with a new TCU?

I may be mistaken but I think if you get a new TCU, you might not even need the BT adapter module anymore...

Rudy is probably right, and if there is a problem the dealer will probably be told to replace under warranty. you may also have been found to be in the group of certain cars that may have been turned off (Assist). We have had a bulletin or two on TCUs but cannot remember the details. I will look up tomorrow.

I'm on number 5 TCU Units because of BMW Assist problems. The last TUC Unit was replaced about 2 months ago and everything is ok. Word to the wise every now and again press your SOS and ask for a location. If you get a answer your ok if not get to the dealer to have it taken care of.If you don't check with your SOS you might think you have it when you don't.Good luck
cheers

when I checked in o this the parts guy at my dealership said that there are 2 tcu units out there. One for pre my05 cars and one for post my05 cars. And that the pre TCU's did not support BT. I'd check into it further
