I don't think so. My car is a US spec 545 with Sport Package.

If thought the US sport package included Dynamic Drive and Active Steering (Until recently when AS was dropped and made an option)

[/quote]AS came with my sport package--auto purhased 6/22/05--, but not DD.

Dynamic Drive is called Active Roll Stabilization in US. It is included in US sport pkg.

I wish. My dealer is the infamous ParkAve BMW in NJ. Thei give you Fords. I had a pleasure of driving unsafe, no breaks, ratlle box called 2002 Focus SE for 5 days.

What a bunch of stingy jerks. I wouldn't want to drive a Ford Focus for 5 days. I think I would come up with another solution. You poor guy. I hope you don't plan on purchasing another car from that dealer.

With that said, to make you feel better, I think there must be many places in the world, where they don't give you any loaner car and might even laugh if you ask.

I wish they'd give me an Isetta like in your Avatar! I'd love to get my hands on a nice one of those!

Interesting topic. I usually am a "waiter." But, when I had my tint redone, I got a loaner. When purchasing my car, I was told about the BMW free-loaner program. I envisioned the program being like Lexus. But, not--at least at my dealer! A Hertz, for at least some of the dealers, in an incredible auto park in Scottsdale, is on the back of BMW's lot. I ended up with a Mazda 6. Still, even though I pay for it implicitly, I rather have "free" service for 4 years rather than a great loaner, a la Lexus, and the Lexus rip-off service charges. Do any BMW dealers loan BMWs?

When I had my first M3 ('95 Avus Blue - I loved that car ) my dealer would give me either a Chrysler K-car or a Chevy Nova (the Toyota built one - needless to say, those were the Hardest miles those cars EVER saw). I was young but I still shelled out all the $$ for the "Hot M3" when it just came out! My father, who is older and wiser than me, had a 750iL (the cat's pajamas at the time). Guess what he got as a loaner. Yup, the K-car or the Nova (whichever one I didn't have at the time - my first M3 was problematic).

Needless to say, that dealership, although closer by 30 minutes to us, has NEVER seen either of us walk through their door. My father has since bought another 750il ($90+K) and is currently shopping for another BMW. And I bought another M3 and my current 545i.

The dealership that I go to now (BMW of Peabody) treats me like I'm their only customer! I don't always get a 5 series loaner but sometimes I do. If not it's a 330i or an X3. I don't mind (or bitch). My car always gets fixed right (e.g. no 2nd trips back).

The first steering rack that needed replacing was obviously a non-sheduled appointment. They had NO loaners. They did get me an Enterprise rental (Taurus or something) that smelled like a wet dog. I called them the next day and they offered to bring out a BMW loaner To ME! Ever since then I always get a nice, clean BMW loaner.

To me, it's worth the extra drive! Too bad all of the BMW dealers don't feel the same way. Saving a few bucks on the front end will cost dearly on the back end.

Interesting. I am going to check things out with my salesperson. He is the only auto saleman I have ever trusted--mostly. I'll see if anyone gets loaner BMWs. If he says "yes," then I'll remind him that we bought two at the same time. And, I also did not schedule a loaner when I made my appointment. I had expected to wait. But, that would not have been a good idea since removing the bad tint would take so much time.

Could you try this. Say "Navigation, then "Destination Input" and see if it brings up the screen with State/City/street and asks you something like "What state?".
