Thumbs down

Hey Guys,

I finished the New rotors and Pads installation last night. I took her out today for a test drive and well I can hear them rubbing what i think is excessive, or maybe I am just paranoid. The car brakes fine does not shake or anything like that and the break pressure feels fine. I have 3 Q's if anyone can throw me some info/advice.

I did notice that the rotors now are dark from I guess the brake pad material...Is this normal for new pads? I assume this will wear off?

Can the rubbing noise be from the rotors and pads just being new and need to rub off a bit?

I have heard of bedding, what exactly is this?..could this be my prob?

Here are a couple pics for the hell of it....Thanks

Also are your rotors holes that are drilled camphered? If not that could be a noise issue it could also depend on how much metal is in the pads that you have I think that could give you an impression of rubbing,

But again they need to be bedded and then if rubbing continues somfin ain't correct.

I have not experianced any noise or rubbing juttering or even that noise normally associated with drilled rotors, which is that whirling sound when you come to a stop

My e34 with ebc drilled and slotted rotors and green stuff pads made that scraping noise and whirling sound for a good while till they bedded, but the drilled holes were not camphered
