So you paid $25,000 for a 2008 535i. That is a great purchase. You should be happy to be paying for the few items you still need. Congrats and enjoy!

Why did u give up the cayman? I would like to hear your comparison between the cayman and 535
With 3 children under 6 years old, we were playing musical cars all the time so I knew the cayman S would have to go and the 535 seems like a great comprise as it costs the same as I am hoping to sell the cayman S for. (have not sold it yet however it is being inspected by potential buyer this week).
In regards to a comparison it's unfair to the 535 which is a sports sedan to compare it to a pure sports car, however that said. The cayman S can run rings around the 535 in handling, and is faster to 60 etc plus the brakes are way better.
But the 535 is way more comfortable and will be better to drive on a daily basis whilst still being exciting enough and overall is the smarter car for me. (if I had wanted the most practical comfortable car I would have bought a Lexus GS350)...
If I had the money I would keep the Cayman S for the weekends as it handles like no other car I have driven except maybe the Lotus Exige...

WOOOOOWWW.great deal for a hot car. If you want performance closer to the Cayman S, Try Dinan upgrade. Try PMing member Panetta, he has done it and has figures, number, charts and Price.
Nice Purchase. Why did the first owner sell his brand new car? i bet mileage is pretty low on it

Congrats James_2008_535 and welcome to the Forum.
It cost 42% less than buying a new 2009 which I am happy with.
I WOULD ALSO BE
1) Order 2nd key (I guess I will have to goto bmw dealership for this and pay $200).
YES, AND TRY TO FIND OUT WHERE THE ORIGINAL IS!
3) Covers for the two power outlets in back of center arm rest.
5 BUCKS FROM THE DEALER
4) One tire is worn, and and another has a nail in side wall. It has run flat tires on it which I hate as they are too stiff and noisy so I ordered a full set of Bridgestone Potenza RE960 AS Pole Position.
SOMEONE HAS BEEN BURNING THE TIRES. CANCEL THAT ORDER AND GET A 19" SET!
Sorry for shouting, but that's a easy way to answer.

Great car, as I see you got the comfort seats, and sounds like a geat deal. How many miles on the car??
My thinking is I drive approx. 12k a year so I have two years of driving left whilst car is still under warranty. If I can get $20k for it in two years on trade then the car has only cost me $600 a month...
