I had my 550 in for a check engine light (replaced 4 sensrs this time) and had the use of an 09 335i for a week.

The nav in that car is totally improved and has a complete overhaul vs what I have in my early MY07. I dont even have traffic on mine.

First of all there is no nav dvd in the car, its all softward download.

The nav can be put on full screen but you can put the nav on both main and right side windows but its not the same nav pic like I have in my system. Its two different perspectives which is great for looking at the overall map and then a close up map in a different perspective. So you can see where you are relative to a major city and where you are in a neighborhood at the same time. This nav they just released is better than my sons new tom tom 730 that I just bought him which is saying alot.

BTW I had also driven a MY09 535xi and the Nav was not the updated one. Only the 335 had the new nav for 09 I believe.

Very impressive.....

You don't need to wait for the F10...just the 2010 e60.
