Hi All!

I'm new to 5series and I am hoping the knowledge here can save me.

I was attempting to remove my OEM grills and was unable to do so. I cannot get the two bottom clips to release.

Originally, I took out the cushioning and the 5 "internal star" screws that gave the bumper some "give"". I am not sure why most instructions (from forums and videos) say to do this. I didn't see a reason for it except it created some "give".

I got the three top clips to release no problem... What am I missing? I tried getting the bottom two to release with the 5 top internal star screws out and also with them in.

The star screws coming out DID NOT create enough room for me to reach in and get to the bottom clips. Is that the purpose of removing those?
