Both BMW and ACS has their own CF lip for the e60 M front bumper. The ACS one actually looks a lot bad ass than the BMW OEM one, but of course the price of them are 5 times the OEM one. Here it is on eBay ACS CF Splitters
What tha???? 1,899.95
I don't care how "badass" they look, they seem awfully expensive.

How dramatic is the change and why would you rather have a different color on the splitters, rather than having the whole bumper the same? I can understand if your car is black, but why in essence does having carbon fiber parts makes the car look more badass?
If you are concerned about weight, then that would make a difference, like they did with the M6, I've seen that the whole top of the car comes in carbon fiber and that minimizes weight, great, but for small parts like these splitters?

...cause the m3 csl had 'em. so therefore, they're bad ass.

The ACS splitters are a lot more pronounced than the OEM splitters. I believe member bstandardz used to have them and he posted pics. They also have non-CF splitters. CarLab actually has a set for sale but I don't know how much.

Also, roveractive has the most expensive prices I've seen on BMW parts. They're a rip off.

I think the lips stick on top of your current lips. If this is the case, they actually add weight

Still, they do look very cool.

With the last 3er (the E46) they changed the M-Sport pack with the Face Lift. With regards to the E60, I really can't see what they could do to improve it. IMHO its 100% spot-on. Hope they don't go ruining it just for the sake of making it look different.

I happended to be looking through the OEM Parts section on the German BMW web-site and noticed they offer Carbon "Lips" as attachments for the E60 M-Sport front bumper. Is this new?

answer to your question:
yes it is new for 2006 US market also it comes with carbon diffuser as well..
but this Carbon package is for 2006-2007 only not confirmed for 2008 facelift models.

ps: and soon I will find out the retrofitment of existing M tech kit for facelift models and post the info from here.
I am sure the parts department at BMW would not be sure about it but soon we will find out.

Tony.

The rear carbon part or front they fit perfectly these are original bmw parts. They are design to fit on existing M tech bumpers.
the M5, quad version is not out yet still waiting for them.

ps:I already replied to your pms.
