My Ride: On order 530D Platinum Bronze/Natural Brown Comfort seats,sunroof,PDC, Nav pro,Aux In,Xenons, Alarm, tinted glass.
ETD 27.06.07
I've just ordered a new 530D Monaco/Natural Brown. Delivery is scheduled late June or early July. I am considering going to pick it up from the factory.
I would be interested on the views of anyone who has done this. A good experience, worth the effort, any savings to be made, etc and the administration side of it, licensing, plates, insurance etc etc.

It's a great experience. Depending on where you are ordering and what arrangements your local importer has made, there are savings. The program our importer has provides 14 days of insurance and number plates included.

did not know that you can pick it up from the factory!!!What happens to the warranty is it under the factory or the dealer that you got it from?

The warranty really varies by local importer, but even if you collect the car at the factory, you are still buying the car at a dealership SOMEWHERE. They don't have a factory warehouse sale division
