My 535D went in the garage today for a 5 hour software upgrade.

The iPod now restarts with the full list of tracks it was playing when I last switched the ignition off, but the system appears to start on the main screen when I start the car rather than showing the last screen I was using - a simple fix I'm sure. I'm not sure how to identify which software version I'm running so if someone can point me in the right direction I'll let everyone know so they can enjoy the benefits.

The garage also claim to have solved the jerky 4th to 5th SAT gearbox problems, but I'm not sure about that. I have a 300 mile drive tomorrow and that will uncover if that's been fixed.

New headlights have been ordered because of the misting problem and hopefully shortly everything is now back to normal.

I had a 320i M Sport convertible loner which was a lovely car apart from I can't remember the last time I drove a car with not enough power to pull the skin off rice pudding! I was hoping to create some interest in the car with Mrs. M but no joy as she has a peddle cycle that's faster!

Cheers

Martin

Let us know how you get on with the new headlights as mine goes in next week for them to be replaced due to misting.

The car was built June 07, so the original software was dated around then.

If someone can tell me how to identify the new version loaded yesterday I'll post it.
