My Ride: 2003 E60 530i

Hi all,
please let me introduce myself.
just got me a 2003 e60 530i, the one i got seems to be in good condition, checked it at a dealer who said all the checkpoints turn out normal, with some notes about the microfilters being dirty, wiper blade need changing. So tomorrow i'm gonna diy swap those things with new ones.
but i just realize that my remote key isn't working from a distance to lock/unlock the car, i need to hold the remote above the rear window to get it to lock/unlock the car, both the remote i got have same problem, so after browsing this forum i have concluded that the problem probably is in the diversity amp, some of you guys suggested to replace it with new ones, but i can't get a new one from local sparepart seller, i need to get a new one at the stealer, and boy is it expensive![Crying](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/crying.gif)
so i plan to clean the metal fingers on the diversity amp and hope it solve the problem, wish me luck![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)

Just finished cleaning the metal fingers n contact points on my car, only effective for 5 times arming n disarming the car, after that i had to hold the remote over the rear window to get it working. So if i get a new diversity amp will it fix this problem? Or should i try changing the battery on my remote first? (I have non CA key)
Any thoughts from you guys? Thanks

Has either key been in the ignition for a decent amount of time on a long drive to see if they will charge? Could be the batteries are about gone. I have the same diamond shaped key with my 01 E38 and I tried cutting it open (search for post on topic). Not my skill set, so I ended up ordering a new key.
Any chance the seller would pay for a new key since both keys appear to be almost inoperable?
