This is a know problem with the E60, my car has been into the dealers 5 times over the past 12 months due to this issue, just recently they replaed all the brake pads and all the wear sensors and is now finally squeal free. If you do a search on the forum someone posted a servie notice from BMW North Ameica about this issue.
