One of those damn tractor mowers mowing grass along the interstate kicked up part of a truck tire and hit my car. Scratched the front bumper, headlight and put one hell of a dent in the hood. Thank god it didn't hit the windshield.

The mowing company was a subcontractor for the state and their insurance will pay for the damage. A new headlight alone is $1,000.00.

It's not all bad though. I was about to get the Mtech kit installed but since the front bumper needs to be removed and repainted I'm gettig the front bumper portion of the Mtech painted and installed for free.

We were traveling between 85 and 90 mph at the time, I guess you never know when something like that can happen. Next time I'll slow down when I see those damn mowers.

thanks God nothing happen to you guys at that speed

"one hell of a dent in the hood" Means you will probably get a new hood too. It's aluminum and hard to repair. Big bucks! Lucky for you they are paying for it.
According to the BMW dealer here, those aluminum hood can't be repair. It have to be replace.

If you take it up with insurance, say that the truck tire/debris was moving and you'll only have to pay your comprehensive without any affect on your premium.

It's key to say that the tire was not stationary.

I live in Lincoln. Atleast there is one other member from this state.

Those deer are a bitch. I try to drive during the day only this time of year.

Can't wait to see how your M-tech and 166s look!
does your M-166 has Tire Pressure Monitors (TPM) on them? Moreover are these 166 straight mounted or you have used some spacers in between for more agressive look - hard to tell from the angle of the pic?

TIA

I purchased another set of TPM for these wheels and tires. I didn't add any spacers.

Visited the shop today and the car should be done Thur pm.

Hmm... I think this question was for me. I do not have the tire sensors on my tires. The FTM measures the rotation of the tires to determine whether I have a flat or not.

I have 10mm spacers in the rear and none in the front. No spacers needed for the front due to the offset of the 166s. For the rear 12mm spacers would be perfect.

EDIT: Or the question can be directed toward rjjr as well.
