New 532i Squeaking noise from engine

Thats not good news. I have less a noise like an electric transformator but more something like scraping of "sand and metal" and of course the squeaking when accelerating and deaccelerating. I have not yet experienced the engine not running smooth. Still hoping it is something else. Will bring it again to the dealer.
Scraping noise when killing the engine is one of the symptoms when the pump is not OK, too. Do you have any deep thumping noise when the engine is idle or when you are at pedastrian speed? When you open the hood the squeaking should be able to hear from the drivers side in the area where the airintake ducts are.

Hi

Thanks for the info. I have no thumping noise. It's realy more like squeaking/whistling nose when the enginge is between 1000 and 1600 rpm and in partial load mode.
The thing with the airintake ducts seems more like it - because it is more like a noise that is generated by an air-stream. Have you got more infos on that part?

Today I whent again to the dealer and drove my car together with the chief of the repair shop and he was quite sure, that it must be the injectors. So the same problem as all the other e60 they told me it should be fixed in the next 3 days.

Just a little update here. I have the THIRD HP pump now and it is the same game allover. Runs smooth as silk for 500 miles and then detoriates and after 2000miles starts with squeaking noise. Additionally engine shakes sporadically in idle as well as it stops for half a second completely that gives me always nearly a heart attack, especially when it looses the servo power additionally which is kind of scary. Dealer replaced one injector today which did not help.
A BMW Ing. will see the car on Monday I'm really interested what the prob is.

You're certainly not the only one... in my case the will change to software instaed of any hardware. I wonder if they now what they're doing...
