Update - South Bay BMW in Torrance California took fantastic, professional care of me , made an appointment, followed up with an e-mail 5 minutes later, called me on a Sunday to confirm/ remind of the Monday appointment, got me a loaner, fixed everthing inside of a business day, in at 8 am called by 3:00 by them and told car was ready.

Now this is how you do business, !

+99 for Adam the tech and South Bay BMW... also for Alex Caicedo the Service Writer.

The place is a palace, and the amenities are pretty impressive.( even has a shoe shine stand and juice bar :-) )

Adam came through 110%, and South Bay BMW fixed the issues I had with my new 528. they treated me properly and even though I'm out of pocket 225.00 over a warranty repair ( not South Bay's fault) at least the car is fully functional, looks and feels like a 60 thousand dollar German car should.

I can get in and out of my garage, no making sounds like a pram, and life goes on.

:-)

now on to fun stuff - detailing, best tires, fun stories, woo hoo...

You said mate and pram - same colloquialisms my Australian sister-in-law uses - haha.

Glad you got it all sorted, I might give that dealer a shot for the next problem I encounter that my tool-box can't solve.

I understand they are typically expensive for non warranty stuff - but they did right by me...
