Did you trying contacting the higher-ups at BMWNA about the poor service of that dealer?
Friday was a wash as no followup contact by my selling dealer or BMWNA - we'll see what this week brings.

Response from selling dealer, all problems except for squeak are due to unapproved blue tooth cellphone.
Per SA - all systems run on same bus and this is the issue.
Opinions folks ???????????????????

Where's the dealer getting this list of approved phones from? Maybe your model isn't too far off one of them?
http://wireless4bmw.com/phones2.html
And this is funny - T-mobile is a German company with a large European footprint - and they've only got 2 phones approved.
I'm stuck in the matrix :-) ..... as the answers are somewhere out there and I'm waiting for the call that will take me back to reality :-)
More funnily if you think about this clearly - what exactly is on this system bus that could be affected.....
So follow the bouncing bits here -
There is a network ( that's a system bus (local) the protocol gets hindered, stack, communication, whatever, system goes into panic and systems go into fail over - if the fail over has been programmed.
They are saying a data import of some XML phonebook data and transmission via a radio link will cause unknown and untested completely random side affects to other systems in the vehicle.
I sincerely doubt with the system taking commands from Google maps to BMW Assist for '09's that this can possibly be real.
I'm really disinclined to believe that a company of this sterling reputation can not have thought and tested this thoroughly.
BMW NA CS contacted me early this week, I heard nothing back and followed up with them today - they are waiting to hear from the dealer's service manager.
This is just SAD that BMW NA can't get a call back in more than three days from the dealer.
I've literally not had the car properly diagnosed nor anything fixed - anyone like their dealer in Socal ?
feel free to PM me....
Thanks

Just thought I'd let folks know - I am hoping to resolve this with the new dealer, as I have lost seat memory and homelink a couple more times, I've got an appointment at another dealer.
This is the first time I've had such a shoddy set of circumstances from two dealers frankly needed to involve the manufacturer, I was expecting much better.
Since the "SA" at Rusnak was giving me such a bullshit answer, Bullshit CS - never should have set foot in that dealership once I saw how I was being treated.
I e-mailed the selling dealer, ( Rusnak BMW Westlake, Calif ) and called and left voicemail for the GSM - he's been in meetings each time I've called. I CC'ed assistant GSM's and my sales guy, and they have not read my e-mail. nor responded.
I have proof the GSM has read my e-mail no response in three days.
No call back zero contact - Rusnak gets a -1 (buy a 55K car - I think the term is ........ and the horse you rode in on.....)
Beverly Hills BMW - a negative 1 as well won't rehash - but I ran into a little blonde gal in a 2008 3 coupe who said "BMW BH was great as every 6 weeks I go in and they change my burned our taillight..." ..nuff said.
BMW NA - Thanks for nothing !! ( a negative 2)
From my interaction with Betsy Hoemann, at BMW NA I have no idea why she is employed nor why she even bothered to call me.
First they mix up my number with someone else, then they call, and leave me hanging.
It does not take two weeks to tell a dealer you'll pay for a rental, you could have gotten off your rear and solved it on the spot in one call with me rather than waiting on a callback from BH BMW. Which you never received nor called me back to inform me of status.
I was the one calling to find out what was going on .
She clearly did not want to make anything happen.

For point #3.
I'd have to say BMW is notorious on this one. Not sure what it is but all of our cars are guilty of the same thing. Apparently its the door seals rubbing against the metal door frame. The car has so much aluminum it flexes. This is why I always play the radio. =p

But don't wax the inside of the doors nor the seals, that's a sure way to get them to squeak.
