My Ride: bmw 525i 2005
my car is lowered alot its slammed and i went into the shop today because i wanted some negative camber and the guy said either we give u negative camber and the wheels aren't aligned or we give u an alignment and theres no camber. he said that he can adjust the axle but as soon as he puts it on the alignment machine its gonna go back to normal no camber...so how the hell do people get camber then? just lower their car more to the point where it has to have camber? i dont get it he basically said if i get negative camber my car wont be alignment but if i dont it will be just i wont have the look i want...
Alligned would mean the camber is within BMW specs which will also affect the toe. So your technically getting an allignment, just to your specific camber vs BMW's ideal camber, possibly throwing off the toe.
Just get your camber adjusted how you like and you will be fine. Sacrifices have to be made so it's looks vs performance.

Find another shop. Your tech is not competent.
Your profile nor post lists what model you have but for many the specification for rear camber is -2.0 degrees and +.28 degrees toe in.
If you adjust the eccentrics for camber and turn the eccentrics for toe they do not relax back unless they slip. If they slip then Loc-Tite is often used. The rear subframe is made of aluminum and the plated eccentric bolts and washers can polish the aluminum and that makes the bolt and washer not "bite" the aluminum.
I have no idea where you are located. DO you have a choice of shops to do alignment?
