Thank you, I realize that they are not plug and play. I am asking how to program the VIN in NCS Expert. I think I know how to factory code the CCC.

Ok ok. I didn't get that from what you stated. Tool32 to code VIN. NCS to factory code module.

Ok thanks! I'm currently having trouble changing the VIN within Tool32, do you know the steps on what to do within Tool32/do you know any resources on how to change my VIN on Tool32? I've had trouble finding helpful information online and this is all completely new for me. Thanks again for the help!

Wanted to see if I was going to tell you another way but without ICOM you risk bricking the module.

Tool32

Open Tool32
File' > 'Load SGBD
Load CCC .prg file
Select c_fg_schreiben (write 17 character VIN)
Select c_fg_auftrag (write 17 character VIN)

You can find your 17 character VIN in FA functions from NCSExpert

Find your CCC file by looking at you UIF in INPA

I know this thread is very old, but I was wondering if I could ask for a bit of help. I have pretty much the same issue on an E90 3-Series. I know there is bound to be some differences, but my situation is nearly identical to yours. My CCC wasn't working so I got a replacement and now everything except the audio works great. I have been trying to look at it within NCS Expert but I am getting VIN errors due to the CCC VIN and the car VIN not matching. I guess I was just wondering if you could provide some guidance. Thanks!
I had the same issue when I replaced the broken CCC with the working one. All worked except Audio. I had to first download the existing module files using NCS Expert. It gives whats coded in CCC. I remember working on a few different modules. I used those downloaded files to replace those parameters that needed to be updated and uploaded back to the CCC. I cant remember the details. The one CCC I bought, had the audio coded to be analog. I had to change it to output as digital to the amplifier. One of the things I remember doing. I can pass on those Modules files that I downloaded from my car. You can get some idea as to what you would need in yours. Please let me know if u need these module files. Apart from this I dont remember coding any VIN. Maybe it was done somewhere but cant remember.

Just to simplify the process, all you need to do is "read" your current setup/ECU, and then you will code 5 modules (CAPPL, CAUDE, CGATE, CHOST and CTUNE. That is it - since you are making IDENTICAL, it is just a read/write for these five items. One last thing, my cables were an exact match, no issues there.

Hope this helps - sorry I don't have more materials, I am looking at my notes ... and they are not perfect ... but it did work.

Had to register to thank you for this! I have searched all over the internet but there close to none info how to code the CCC and what modules to code.

Finally i have a working stereo after almost 1 year. Replaced the stereo last week and just coded it like u described.

Thanks again.
