Default Need Help Replacing Part

Hey Everyone,

Today I was trying to remove the cross brace (Part # 51617046555) from my car and stripped the head of the T45 bolts. I tried drilling the heads to remove it and it worked, but when I tried removing the center bolts, (located near the firewall / cabin air filters) I drilled into the "nut" the T45 bolts were attached to. Do you guys know what part number it is and how to replace it?

Thank you

Is the stripped "nut" a loose item? If not just heli-coil (or equivalent) the thing.

Hard to tell exactly what part you are talking about without seeing pics. Anyway, try this part number 51617010593 to see if this is what you need. If not, go to RealOem and search under body reinforcements.

Sorry for the delay. Here are some pictures of what I'm talking about. I drilled into the "nut" diagonally and the bore isn't round anymore.

I couldn't see these nuts on realoem.com - but I was looking at a 530d.

If a 21/64th (8.3mm) drill is a tight fit in the hole or better it can be re-coiled (assuming there is enough meat there).

Any decent shop could do it. Or ebay for about $15.
