ver 26? Where did you see that? I haven't heard of that version for our cars yet. On our cars, the Navigation system isn't part of the older "Mark I, Mark II, Mark III" type of systems that BMW uses in non-iDrive cars. Maybe that's what you're thinking (or maybe I'm just confused here?)

On our cars, the nav updates come as part of the CIP software packages...

Maybe it was my mistake, while I was reading a lot of forums and I was not quite sure... My CIP version is 1.18.3 and I think there is also new version... What do you have?

Newest version AFAIK is 20.1
You can unfortunately not check for yourself which version you have.

Are you talking about your Navigation map version?

If so, just eject the DVD and read the version off the disc. Mine is 2005.2

Other than that, you might be asking about the CIP version of your iDrive software. When I upgraded to 18.1, my navigation changed. (I got perspective view, for example)

Any changes in Nav with an even newer CIP version?? I've obviously got at least 18.1, as Perspective View is an option on my Nav & works fine (best view in my opinion). I'm just asking for my CIP to be upgraded next week to allow mp3 playback in the single cd-slot.

Hi JaniK:

The latest version of Progman/CIP is 20.01.00. Go here for information on this version.

Information on prior versions is given here.

Maybe these links will get you started on what you are trying to accomplish.
